Our Story

At Quirky Compass, we believe everyone was born with their own quirky compass inside themselves — one that is uniquely yours and will guide you on an incredible journey if you let it!

Founders Josh and Avery-Lynn’s journey started in Colorado where they fell in love — and then, throughout their first few years of marriage, together they fell head over heels for the Rocky Mountains. Weekends were filled with hiking, four-wheeling, campfires, rodeos, and dodging the occasional bison while road-tripping across the West. Life’s biggest adventure came when they moved back east to Virginia and swapped the Rocky Mountains for baby rockers, as they added three little miracles to their family and many miles to their minivan. Now, it’s the Shenandoah mountains and east coast beaches that call—sometimes getting the busy signal that is called life, but always there offering a weekend getaway and chance to recharge, recenter and refocus on what matters most.
